About the Owner

Steven Heicklen, the founder of Jersey Pools & Spas Inc. in 1991, established the company with a vision to become the best in the business. Within a short period of time, he achieved this goal, transforming the company into a comprehensive service organization with 10 divisions, over 40 dedicated employees and 40 plus vehicles. Jersey Pools & Spas offers a range of services, from the design and construction of new in-ground swimming pools to repair services, renovations, weekly maintenance, and extreme outdoor living makeovers. The company also operates an 18,000-square-foot retail store that provides a wide variety of pool products and services. Additionally, Steven created Extreme Board and Ski, a leading ski and snowboard shop, during the off-season.

Steve’s dedication to excellence has earned Jersey Pools & Spas numerous awards and recognitions, including honors from the NJ Concrete and Aggregate Association, the National Swimming Pool Foundation, and the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals. His commitment to delivering top value to clients is a key reason why the majority of new business comes from referrals.

Beyond his business, Steve has a strong commitment to community service. He is a member of New Jersey Task Force 1, one of the 28 federal FEMA Urban Search and Rescue teams, where he serves as a Technical Search Specialist. He has participated in rescue operations for Hurricane Michael (2018), Hurricane Florence (2018), Hurricane Katrina, and Superstorm Sandy. Steve has also served as an emergency management coordinator, firefighter, and emergency search specialist in his hometown of Medford Lakes. His community contributions have been recognized by the Governor’s office of New Jersey, the Borough of Medford Lakes, the American Red Cross, and FEMA.

Steve is a devoted husband to his wife, Jen, and a proud father of four children, Ally, Anna, Ava, and Jake. His passion, attention to detail, and commitment to both his business and community form the foundation of Jersey Pools & Spas.
