Ever since Steve Heicklen founded Jersey Pools & Spas Inc. in 1991, he had a vision to be the best he could be. By 2013 Steve had managed to fulfill his vision and build the company into a multi segmented full service organization. Jersey Pools and Spas Inc. offers services ranging from world class design and construction of new in-ground swimming pools to a fully staffed service and repair department, weekly maintenance and valet service caring for hundreds of clients on a weekly basis. Other offerings include simple renovation service to extreme outdoor living makeovers. The business also has an 8,000 square foot retail store providing the latest in products and services. In the off season, Steve took his passion for skiing and built Extreme Board and Ski, the area’s premier ski and snowboard shop. When asked why he was in business, Steve responded, “To fulfill my vision of building the best swimming pool business possible”. Steve’s commitment to excellence and focus on delivering the best value to a client is the reason why the majority of new business comes as a referral.
Steve’s attention to detail has allowed Jersey Pools & Spas to be the recipient of numerous awards, citations, certificates of excellence and certifications. These include the NJ Concrete and Aggregate Association, The National Swimming Pool Foundation, The Pool and Spa Professional Dealer Network and the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals.
Steve’s dedication does not stop with pools. Steve has a passion for helping others wherever he can. He is currently serving on New Jersey Task Force 1, one of 28 federal FEMA Urban Search and Rescue teams in the country. Working as a Technical Search Specialist, Steve has recently responded to Hurricane Michael (October 2018), Hurricane Florence (September 2018), as well as past events like Hurricane Katrina, and superstorm Sandy. Steve formerly served as his towns emergency management coordinator, as well as a former Medford Lakes Firefighter and Emergency Search Specialist. Steve has been cited and awarded by groups such as the Governor’s office of New Jersey, the borough of Medford Lakes, The American Red Cross and FEMA. He is a loving husband to his wife Jen of 19 years, proud father to his four children Ally, Anna, Ava and Jake. Steve’s passion and loyalty serves as the foundation that Jersey Pools and Spas is built upon.
